Friendly Business Awards

The concept of Friendly Business Awards introduced by JCI Belfast was developed in Dublin for the first time in 2007. The aim of the project is to acknowledge businesses that actually cater for the needs of the community and thus their clients.
Businesses are created by people and as such they are an integral part of communities. Therefore it is of great importance to recognize the standards that should be met and observed by those involved in day-to-day running of businesses.
The Friendly Business Awards 2010 will acknowledge businesses operating within the following categories:
Customer Care/Friendliness
Eco Friendliness
Outlet layout/Design
Disability Access
The Awards Ceremony usually takes place in the Mansion House (Dawson Street) having the Lord Mayor of Dublin as a special guest.
The Responsible Entrepreneur
The Responsible Entrepreneur is a business project launched by JCI Dublin in 2009.
Part of the project are quarterly Business dinners as well as business workshops, where budding entrepreneurs can learn, discuss business topics and exchange ideas.

Public Speaking & Debating
Junior Chamber International is organising Public Speaking and Debating competitions at international level.
In JCI Dublin we participate every year at the annual JCI Ireland competitions. Winners at national level represent the country at the European Conference, with the possibility of participating at world level competitions.
JCI Dublin is also encouraging all members to practice their public speaking and debating skills. We run regular training and workshops and ask members to do short presentations at meetings.
