Active Citizenship Week Presents Experts Presentation on Best Practices in Waste Management

Find out what the civil society is doing to minimize the solid waste problem in Dublin. Join us on Wednesday 3rd September when we will be joined by Dr. Tara Singleton, Marketing, Communications & Education Manager at The Rediscovery Centre. The Rediscovery Centre brings together the skills and expertise of scientists, designers, business managers and craftsmen united in a common purpose of sustainability through resource efficiency and life cycle design. Their mission is to divert waste from landfill, provide community employment and training and inspire sustainable living.
JCI Dublin Fashion Show and Dinner

This is a fashion show with a twist, all of the clothes featured in the fashion show will be “pre-loved” clothing donated by the NCBI Charity Shop in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. The aim of this event is to demonstrate that recycling is fashionable by encouraging people to reuse clothing whenever possible and to donate their unwanted clothes and accessories instead of binning them.
